Founded by Dr. John Hendry over 40 years ago, Roots Pediatric Dentistry has the distinguished honor of serving the Acadiana community. Dr. Adrienne Reviere Harst and Dr. Evan Tatford are proud to continue the tradition of providing exceptional care to the small smiles of our community.
Why “Roots”?
As pediatric dentists, we know the importance of establishing good habits early.
Our goal at Roots Pediatric Dentistry is to provide the highest quality pediatric dental care in a fun, compassionate environment where your child can grow and flourish while feeling confident and relaxed. Our tailored patient-centered approach ensures each child’s and family’s unique needs are met, thus planting the roots for a lifetime of oral health.

Meet The Dentists
Dr. Adrienne Reviere Harst
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Reviere Harst grew up in Eunice, Louisiana, and has always had roots in the Acadiana community. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2011 and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2015. In 2017, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, to complete her pediatric dental residency training at Indiana University/Riley Hospital for Children. There she also received a Master of Science in Dentistry. While she loved the snow and cold weather, she was eager to return home to Acadiana and joined the practice in 2019. Dr. Reviere Harst is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Reviere Harst enjoys spending time with her family and loves traveling and trying new restaurants. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Lafayette and enjoys serving the community through volunteerism.

Dr. Evan Tatford
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Tatford was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating from the University of Louisiana and being a member of the Ragin’ Cajun football team, he went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 2020. Dr. Tatford completed his two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry. While in residency, his training consisted of providing clinical care in the university and hospital setting, as well as caring for patients at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Tatford is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When Dr. Tatford is not working, he loves spending time with his wife, Madeleine, and his two daughters, Anna Kate and Mary Madeleine. He loves to cheer on the Cajuns and always jumps at the opportunity to wear “Ragin’ Cajun Red.”

Dr. John Hendry
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. John Hendry founded the practice in 1980 and has been serving the children in the Acadiana community ever since. He has served organized dentistry at both local and national levels. Most notably, he served as the National Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2015, Dr. Hendry was named “Distinguished Alumni of LSU School of Dentistry”--only the second time this award has been bestowed.
When not at the office, Dr. Hendry is likely at the golf course or traveling.

Marjorie
Marjorie joined the practice in 1988. What she loves the most about working in pediatric dentistry is watching all the children she has encountered grow up, become parents, and introduce their own children to the practice. Her favorite thing in life is enjoying spending time with her family.

Tricia
Tricia has been with our team since 1991 and has enjoyed working in all aspects of the profession through the years. She loves the fast-paced atmosphere and being part of an amazing team! Outside of the office, she enjoys attending local music events and spending time with her family.

Patti joined the practice in 2012 and is the dedicated insurance coordinator. She likes solving problems and answering any questions our patients have regarding billing and insurance.

Crystal
Crystal is our hospital coordinator and also an expanded duty dental assistant. She has been with our office since 2014. The favorite part of her job is being able to interact with patients and watch them grow through the years. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family, enjoys watching all LSU sports, and relaxing in the pool.

Amber
As our new patient coordinator, Amber is one of the first friendly faces you will encounter at our office. She has been a part of our team since 2013 as an expanded duty dental assistant. Her favorite thing about pediatric dentistry is being able to work alongside the doctors in setting the tone for a positive dental experience for all children, from infancy into adolescence. She enjoys spending time with her two children, Nella and Banks, and her husband Devin. She loves hanging out around her pool in the company of her family and friends.

Amy, a registered nurse for almost 30 years, has been with our office since 2015. She has always loved working with children of all ages. Amy understands that for some children, dental work can cause anxiety and apprehension. Her job is to help them relax and make sure they have a safe, comfortable visit. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and traveling to new places with her husband and three children.

Davi, an expanded duty dental assistant, has proudly been part of our team since 2021. Interacting with children will always brighten her day! One of her favorite childhood memories is going to the dentist, and she always knew that’s where she wanted to start a career. She loves making a difference in a child’s oral health. In her free time, she enjoys coaching little league baseball.

Mayce
Mayce has been an expanded duty dental assistant in our office since 2021. She loves working with children and enjoys the fast-paced, fun atmosphere and seeing how the patients enjoy being in the office as much as she does. In her spare time, she enjoys boat rides with her puppy Buoy and making memories with friends and family.

Kristen is an expanded duty dental assistant that has been with our practice since 2014. Her favorite part of her job is watching patients flourish not only in their dental journey, but in all aspects of their lives. She also enjoys traveling.
